“You need to play “X”, the crowd will love it.”

This is not the same as a request, it’s worse.  How? Well for one, you are probably “telling us” we need to play “X” song, because you can’t dance to any other song, some hott girl/guy asked you to do it, you think you will get some action (which you won’t), or you are just a tool.  Aside from that…

You are telling us...

  1. what song to play.  (We rarely like it when you ask, let alone tell us!)
  2. something we already know. It is our job to know what the crowd will love and frankly, just because you and your group of friends like it, doesn’t mean the rest of crowd will.  Attention: The world does not revolve around you!

If you know what the crowd will love, why aren’t you behind the thousands of dollars of equipment?

So I ask those of you that do this, please refrain.  You can simply ask us to play a song and maybe we’ll play it, but remember we are NOT iPods.
