“You need to play “X”, the crowd will love it.”
This is not the same as a request, it’s worse. How? Well for one, you are probably “telling us” we need to play “X” song, because you can’t dance to any other song, some hott girl/guy asked you to do it, you think you will get some action (which you won’t), or you are just a tool....

Most DJs do not like taking requests to begin with, but if you are going to request a song…Listen to what’s on!
Why?
I can’t even count the number of times someone has asked me for a song that is already playing. (original, not even a remix).
What does this do?
This makes you look like an idiot.
Annoy the crap out of the DJ.
Screws you out of the opportunity...

I don’t care that you are about to leave, that wont make me want to play it anymore than I already don’t.
Why would I want to play a song for someone who is about to leave? What does that do for me? If regardless of what I play you are going to leave anyway…
